Beyond Moon Signs: Traditional Astrology, Magic, and the Art of Agriculture

In this workshop, seasoned organic farmer, astrologer, and magical practitioner, Todd Elliott, will show us some of the ways he incorporates the esoteric into the operation of a working farm. We will begin by exploring the cosmology of traditional astrology and continue from there to an explanation of the basic concepts of the magical art and how it can relate to farming. We will concentrate on astrological magic, which is an ancient system for harnessing the energies of the stars and planets for spiritual growth and practical success, as well as discussing theurgical and shamanic approaches to working with earthly and heavenly powers from ancient Paganism, Western esotericism and beyond. We will touch upon weather magic, pest control, increasing fertility and more. We will also discuss the various traditions of using astrology to time work on the farm.
